Michael Pena for Ant-Man role?
'End of Watch' actor Michael Pena has reportedly been offered a role in Marvel's 'Ant-Man' alongside Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd.
Michael Pena is in talks to join the cast of 'Ant-Man'.
The 'End of Watch' star is negotiating a deal to star in the upcoming Marvel superhero movie alongside Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, according to TheWrap.com.
Pena has been offered an unspecified role in the film and is expected to sign on should his current schedule allow.
The actor is set to begin shooting the US remake of hit British TV show 'Broadchurch' - renamed 'Gracepoint' - at the end of January, while 'Ant-Man' is set to begin filming in April.
Pena has previously had roles in hit movies such as 'Crash', 'World Trade Center', 'Observe and Report' and most recently, 'American Hustle'. He will next be seen alongside Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf in David Ayers' World War II movie, 'Fury'.
'Ant-Man', which is being directed by British filmmaker Edgar Wright, follows the adventures of a superhero that can shrink himself down to insect size.
Rudd will play Scott Lang, the new incarnation of Ant-Man, while Douglas will play Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man who discovered the scientific technology which affords the hero his powers.
The film is set for release in July 2015.
