Eva Longoria is set to star in 'Devious Maids'.
The 38-year-old actress, who is Executive Producer on the TLC comedy-drama show, is being lined up to make an appearance on the programme at some point but that looks unlikely to be in the upcoming second series.
Speaking at the TCA 2014 winter press tour, series creator Marc Cherry - who worked with Eva on 'Desperate Housewives' - said: "The Eva Longoria card, I will play that at some point eventually."
While she probably won't appear in front of the camera in the second season of 'Devious Maids', Eva is set to make her TV directorial debut in the first episode of the upcoming series, on which Marc admits fans can expect to see "some new faces and say goodbye to some other faces".
Marc insists the second series of the show was well planned even before he wrote the first series, a lesson he learned after failing to carry out that self-imposed rule on 'Desperate Housewives'.
He added: "Know what your second season is before you write your first season. When I did 'Desperate', I was just trying to get through that first season."
The second series of 'Devious Maids' - which centres on four Latino maids who work in the homes of Beverly Hills' most rich and powerful families - will air in the UK on TLC at the end of April 2014.
