Dancing on Ice complaints after love rat comments
Fans of 'Dancing on Ice' have complained to Watchdog's Ofcom after host Phillip Schofiled made a cheeky reference to skating professional Sylvain Longchambon's love life at the weekend.
'Dancing on Ice' fans have complained after Phillip Schofield made reference to Sylvain Longchambon's love life on the show at the weekend.
Angry viewers have turned to Watchdog's Ofcom after Phillip referred to the skating professional's relationship with 2012 contestant Jennifer Metcalfe, who he ditched last year after striking up a romance with his 2013 partner Samia Ghadie.
A source told The sun newspaper: "Ofcom has received complaints, not a lot but some viewers were upset and complaints are always looked at."
During the show on Sunday night (05.01.14), the host made a joke to Jorgie Porter - who was partnered with Sylvain for the new series but was booted off at the weekend - by saying: "Jorgie's hoping to win the main prize this time. I'm not talking about Sylvain, obviously."
Joe Pasquale, who left the show along with Sylvian and Jorgie on Sunday night, said yesterday (06.01.14) that he couldn't see anything wrong with Phillip's comments.
He explained: "He's just asking the questions everyone at home is asking."
Phillip added while on 'This Morning': "The sense-of-humour wheels fell off last night, which was a shame - especially on Twitter."
