Kristen Wiig was surprised how good 'The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty' was when she watched it back.
The 40-year-old actress admits she didn't expect the movie, which she stars in with Ben Stiller, to be as "beautiful" as it was but she was "blown away" by the incredible special effects.
Speaking to Collider.com, she said: "You never know, any movie you do you see the finished thing and you're like, 'Wait, what?' Yeah I was completely blown away, I mean I think it's really beautiful. There are so many shots of Ben skateboarding and stuff where I wasn't there so I didn't get to see any of that footage and I thought the music was unbelievable.
"I was really pleasantly surprised and happy. I knew it was going to be good, but all of the visual effects and the music and everything, it really just created this really beautiful thing."
Stiller, who also directed the film, insists the hit movie - which is set in New York City - doesn't follow a particular genre because he wants to take the audience on the character's journey instead.
He said previously: "I like movies that don't necessarily fit into a category. There is humour in it and some people might see it as a comedy, but ultimately that wasn't the criteria that I was judging it on.
"For me the most important thing was trying to tell the story and hoping the audience would be able to follow this character and his journey."
