Scottish Chamber Orchestra with Anthony Marwood
- Carol Main
- 29 November 2007
Temperatures are dropping, fires are starting to burn in the grate and teeth are heard in rhythmic chattering. As the seasons change and winter makes its first appearance, that’s the picture painted by Vivaldi in his tribute to this time of year. Soloist in his Four Seasons, a set of four concertos for violin and string orchestra, is virtuoso violinist Anthony Marwood, who brings all four seasons of the year to the latest event in the SCO’s CL@SIX series. These hour-long concerts start at 6pm, so are perfect for those who want to escape the after-work rush hour.
St Cuthbert’s Church, Edinburgh, Tue 11 Dec, 6pm.
