Bonnie Langford is only doing 'Dancing on Ice' again because she has been promised a "daily cappuccino".

The former 'Doctor Who' star admits she was "very reluctant" to accept the offer to return on the up-and-coming series of the ice-skating competition, and reveals it took much persuasion from Christopher Dean with the promise of a daily dose of caffeine.

Bonnie said: "Christopher Dean swung it for me. He was very persuasive and he promised me a cappuccino every day! He tweeted me a lot because I was very worried about the competition. I actually laughed in that nervous kind of laughter way when they first offered me a place. I had a good time when I did it and I didn't want to spoil that memory.

"I am now nine years older and I know how physical and emotional it is. My daughter is also 13 now and my husband is going to be away on tour and so the logistics of working that out alone is tough."

Bonnie - who finished third place in 2006 - revealed she was very nervous and shaky when she stepped onto the ice again because she had not skated since her appearance on the show and the subsequent tours.

She said:"I had done nothing since. I put my head in my hands on the first day for at least ten minutes. That was the difficult part to just get back on the ice. I decided that if I couldn't do it, there was my answer. If I could do it then I would have to choose. And I could do it.

"I was very wobbly at first, really wobbly in fact and I don't like to count how many times I have fallen over."

She added: "'Dancing on Ice' really has changed my life because it has made me have a go at things. It made me say 'Ok I will do it'. Nothing fazes me now I have been on the ice because that was the most nerve-wrecking thing I have ever done."
