Ben Stiller's pride at sharing success with son
Ben Stiller admits he enjoyed a moment of bliss when he was able to share his hand and footprint ceremony with his family
Ben Stiller felt immense pride when his son watched him get his hand and footprints cemented into Hollywood history.
'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' star cast his prints outside the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX earlier this month, making him a member of an exclusive club populated by cinematic legends including Marilyn Monroe, Clint Eastwood and Rita Hayworth.
Stiller took his wife, Christine Taylor, 42, and their children, Ella, 11, and Quin, eight, to the ceremony and admits he was overcome with joy to be able to share such a special moment with his family.
The actor - who was introduced at the event by his friend Tom Cruise - said: "My last moment of bliss was at my hand and footprint ceremony. It was the first time my son had come to an event. And I looked at him running around and talking to these women reporters. He was batting his eyelashes, and they were fawning all over him. It just made me happy."
Stiller, 48, also revealed his best source of advice is always his wife Christine and he values her opinion over almost everybody else.
He told People magazine: "My wife is usually very good at giving me advice. I've been working a lot lately and she said to just take a breath. Breathe and take it one day at a time."
