Jennifer Metcalfe has given Jorgie Porter her blessing after she was paired with her ex-boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon for 'Dancing on Ice' and insists the pair make a "good partnership".

Jennifer Metcalfe says her ex Sylvain Longchambon and her 'Hollyoaks' co-star Jorgie Porter will make a "great" 'Dancing on Ice' duo.

The 30-year-old actress split from the professional ice skater after he started dating his then-'Dancing on Ice' partner, 'Coronation Street' actress Samia Ghadie, earlier this year, but the brunette stunner has given her good friend her blessing and insists the pair will make a "great partnership" on the upcoming series.

She is quoted by website Soap Squawk as saying: "I think as long as they're happy working together it's great.

"He's a great ice skater so I reckon it's a good partnership for her."

Contestants for the final series of 'Dancing on Ice' also include actress Bonnie Langford, who will be partnered by professional skater Andrei Lipanov, who has replaced Scottish skater Mark Hanretty after he picked up a shoulder injury.

Others will reunite with their original partners including 2008 champion Suzanne Shaw, who will team up with Matt Evers, while 2009 winner Ray Quinn and Maria Filippov will join forces once again, and Hayley Tamaddon, who triumphed in 2010, will be aiming to skate to success with Dan Whiston.

Waterloo Road's Zaraah Abrahams has been paired with Andy Buchanan, Olympian Beth Tweddle will skate with Lukasz Rozycki, former 'EastEnders' actor Todd Carty is with Alexandra Schauman and 'EastEnders' star Gary Lucy will join Katie Stainsby.

In addition, comedian Joe Pasquale has teamed up with Robin Johnstone, retired rugby player Kyran Bracken will perform with Nina Ulanova and singer Gareth Gates is paired with Brianne Delcourt.

What's more, former footballer David Seaman will dance with his real-life partner Frankie Poultney, and so will actor Sam Attwater with Vicky Ogden.

Co-hosts Philip Schofield and Christine Bleakley will return to present the show, which kicks off on ITV on January 5 at 6:15pm.
