Amy Childs is being eyed for a return to 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The red-headed beauty and her cousin Harry Derbridge are set to reappear in the ITV2 series in a bid to reunite the show's original cast and boost ratings following departures from a number of high-profile characters over the years.
A source revealed to The Mirror newspaper: "Amy could bring a certain spark back and it helps that she's single again."
The 23-year-old left the popular reality-series in 2011 to star in 'Celebrity Big Brother' but her solo career has failed to match her previous success as her own reality show was axed by Channel 5 after one series.
The source added: "A lot of the cast thought they might go on to bigger and better things by ditching the show, especially after Mark [Wright] did so well in I'm A Celebrity [Get Me Out Of Here!] but a lot of the other careers haven't really taken off."
Kirk Norcross made a brief return to the cast last October before quitting again earlier this year, now producers hope old faces will revive the show after Joey Essex's quit to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
The source continued: "Now there has been some coming and going, producers are thinking of having a reunion with some of the old characters coming back, but they want some of the higher profile cast members to stay longer."
