Serena is being shopped to buyers
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are set to appear on the big screen together for the second time, as their upcoming film-adaptation of Ron Rash's 2008 novel 'Serena' will be shown to distributors later this month
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's new film is being eyed by buyers.
The pair - who starred in 2012 hit 'The Silver Linings Playbook', whereby Jennifer won an Academy Award for 'Best Actress' - are set to appear on the big screen together for the second time, as their upcoming film-adaptation of Ron Rash's 2008 novel 'Serena' will be shown to distributors later this month.
It's thought the depression-era drama, which was filmed in March last year, has already seen interest from Weinstein Co. and Fox Searchlight due to a powerful performance by Lawrence.
The Susanne Bier-directed film reportedly took more than 18 months to finish, but insiders have dismissed speculation that the production was in trouble.
A source told the Hollywood Reporter: "Actually, it was just the opposite. There were no reshoots or anything like that. It was just a real precision edit because the story is about a woman's descent into madness. And Susanne is a total perfectionist."
'Serena' follows the story of a North Carolina timber baron and his ambitious wife, and if it sells the film could hit cinemas as early as 2014.
