- Henry Northmore
- 18 November 2013
The Radio 1 DJ heads a line-up that includes Duke Dumont, MNEK, Cyril Hahn and Lulu James
1 Annie Mac
Ms Mac is one of the most respected and credible DJs on Radio 1, offering a mix of underground dance beats, hip hop and dancefloor bangers. Her shows seamlessly flit through tracks by Drake, Wiley, Arctic Monkeys and James Blake (as she so ably demonstrated on her Nov 3 broadcast). She's helped bring dance music back to the fore on the airwaves breaking new tracks, DJs and artists.
2 Duke Dumont
Unsurprisingly Mac has called in a few friends to help her AMP night go off big style. Adam Dyment (aka Duke Dumont) in a fan of big bassy house and upbeat UK garage with releases on Tiga's Turbo label, Dubsided and his own Blasé Boys Club records. Most people will know him for his break through chart smash 'Need U (100%)' featuring A*M*E* which hit number one earlier this year.
Appearing alongside Duke Dumont will be MNEK, co-writer of the aforementioned 'Need U (100%)'. MNEK is also one of the key writers and producers helping shape the current UK dance scene working closely with Rudimental alongside everyone from pop poppets Little Mix to drum & bass titans Sub Focus.
4 Cyril Hahn
Swedish remixer (now based in Canada) Hahn has become famous for his slowed down rerubs of big name R&B stars such as Destiny's Child and Mariah Carey, warping their disposable pop into something eerie, emotional and poignant.
5 Lulu James
Last seen supporting Ellie Goulding on tour singer Lulu James provides slick soulful vocals over deep slo-mo dubstep beats. The meeting ground between underground electronica and R&B.
