'Coronation Street' bosses are planning an explosive whodunnit storyline when they kill off Tina McIntyre.
The producers for the ITV soap have lined up a number of major characters who could be in the frame for the brutal murder of the stunning barmaid - who is played by Michelle Keegan - next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Michelle's departure from 'Corrie' will be the big storyline next year.
"It has been agreed Tina will be killed off - barring any last-minute change of mind - and now it is just a matter of how that happens.
"The main idea being looked at is she will be murdered by someone on the street, who will then try and frame a rival. Another option is that she will be accidentally killed, with all the emotion that brings."
The brunette beauty is set to strike up an affair with recovering alcoholic Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) over the Christmas season, which doesn't go down well with his feisty partner Carla Connor (Alison King).
The source explained: "Peter Barlow and Tina will be entwined right up until her exit and he will have a big part to play in the storyline."
Michelle Keegan - who is currently dating Mark Wright - announced her decision to leave the cobbles earlier this year after playing her bubbly alter-ego since 2007.
