Calvin Harris interview

As Calvin Harris is playing Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Concert In The Gardens, we asked him...
Are you more festive elf or Scrooge McDuck?
I’m getting less festive as I get older. In fact, all year round I’m becoming a miserable Scrooge.
Which songs would feature on your perfect festive soundtrack, and which definitely wouldn’t?
Paul McCartney’s ‘Wonderful Christmas Time’ is easily the best festive song. That or East 17’s ‘Stay Another Day’. I didn’t like Michelle McManus’ Christmas single much, so that probably wouldn’t feature.
How do you trim your tree?
This year, I’ll be hanging all my gold and platinum discs from every branch. We’ll have to get a bigger tree than usual to fit them all on.
What was the best present you ever received?
Ever had a nightmare at Christmas?
A couple of years ago I broke my foot dancing to Herman Kelly’s ‘Let’s Dance To The Drummers Beat’. That was pretty bad.
Any New Year resolutions?
Next year, I want to be the nicest person in the world.
Fancy sharing a hangover cure with us?
I’ve always said you don’t need to drink to have a good time, but if you say that, usually somebody hits you.
