Huey Morgan storms off Never Mind The Buzzcocks
Huey Morgan smashed a mug and stormed off a recording of 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' after being forced to finish his own lyrics in the Next Lines round of the show.
Huey Morgan stormed off a recording of 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks'.
The singer got angry during the Next Lines segment of the show when guest hosts Rizzle Kicks kept asking him to complete lyrics from his own songs with the band Fun Lovin' Criminals, so he smashed a mug before walking off set.
Huey's actions appeared to startle team captain Phil Jupitus and teammate Laura Whitmore.
The incident began when Huey started to look annoyed, prompting Rizzle Kicks - Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule - to ask him: "Are you alright with that? You look so upset, man."
Huey responded saying: "I'm totally alright with that, I just thought you guys might do something different for a change, not give me my own lyrics over and over."
Rizzle Kicks then told him: "It's part of the game Huey ... It's Next Lines, mate."
After he smashed the mug, Jordan says: "Huey, it's the game bro, I say a line, you sing the other line. You don't have to smash a mug in my hair."
Huey, 45, then storms off set as the show's credits begin to roll.
The 'Loco' singer has yet to comment publicly on the incident, but did post on Twitter this morning: "Today's PhilospHuey is, 'Truth, when not sought after, rarely comes to light.' -Oliver Wendell Holmes. (sic)"
A source also told the Metro newspaper: "The audience was mostly on the side of Huey because everything was taking ages to get right and film.
"After he smashed the mug, Huey sat back down, but Rizzle Kicks kept making jokes about mugs so eventually he got fed up and stormed off."
