EastEnders' Ronnie Mitchell is set to get "dangerous".
The troubled blonde - played by Samantha Womack - will show a darker side to her personality in coming weeks as she struggles to keep her thoughts together following her release from prison in the summer.
Speaking to InsideSoap magazine, Samantha said: "Nobody knows what Ronnie has become through everything she's been through. She's all over the place - she's going to get dangerous."
The 40-year-old actress - who returned to the show after taking two years out - has admitted she is excited about the dramatic plot twists that her alter-ego has in store and is looking forward to the audience's reaction.
She explained: "It's about time we made the audience feel uncomfortable about Ronnie. I want people saying, 'No Ronnie don't do that!"
Samantha believes the new soap boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins is the brains behind her character's "dark" and "dangerous" personality.
She said: "I've started to feel Ronnie's energy and power coming back now Dom's in charge. I believe he's the best man for the job."
She added: "He wants to make it dark and gritty - which is what 'EastEnders' should be."
