Nicole Scherzinger has hit back at Simon Cowell after he said axed 'X Factor' group Miss Dynamix should have remained in the competition over the brunette stunner's act Hannah Barrett.

Nicole Scherzinger has branded Simon Cowell "crazy" after he backed axed 'X Factor' group Miss Dynamix over her act Hannah Barrett.

The show judge took to her Twitter account to hit back at the music mogul after he had used the social networking site to support the girl band following their elimination from the competition on Sunday night (27.10.13) after a sing-off with Hannah.

Simon tweeted: "I would have kept miss dynamix. I don't get that decision.(sic)"

But a furious Nicole responded: "I have never had a twitter war, please don't make me start one now @SimonCowell! You R crazy, my girl @HannahBMusic is a STAR...and w/SOUL!! (sic)"

The brunette stunner then emphasised her point by retweeting seven of her followers' messages of support for Hannah, including one from Nicole's fellow judge Louis Walsh, who also insisted Simon was wrong.

He wrote: "@SimonCowell , Sundays choice was the correct decision. Hannah was amazing..better than Miss Dynamix @NicoleScherzy (sic)"

However, Louis had previously retweeted Simon's original message in which he stated he would've kept Miss Dynamix on the competition.

Despite being booted off the show, the girl group - Rielle Carrington, SeSe Foster and Jeanette Akua - got a "confidence boost" from Simon's comment.

SeSe exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "When Rielle told us about the tweet she needed to double check and see if it was verified because there are loads of Simon Cowell fakes."

Rielle said: "I screamed, 'Girls look at this!' "

Jeanette added: "That made my morning! It's a confidence boost and just shows us that a mogul as big as Simon sees the potential in us. This is Simon Cowell, come on."
