Jennifer Lawrence got seasick shooting 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' in a special effects pool

Jennifer Lawrence got seasick shooting 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay'.

The 23-year-old actress - who plays Katniss Everdeen in the futuristic saga - called an abrupt halt to shooting with co-star Liam Hemsworth in a special effects pool, where she was being hit by simulated strong waves, as the motion made her feel nauseous.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Suddenly shouting that she was going to be sick, Jen ordered the special effects guys to stop rocking the boat."

However, the motion didn't stop in time and the actress threw up on the vessel's deck, much to her embarrassment.

According to the insider, Jennifer - who apologised several times to the crew and her co-star - returned to her dressing room to recover but was able to return and re-shoot the scene shortly afterwards.

Sickness isn't the only thing that has caused problems while Jennifer is filming the movie. Her co-star Josh Hutcherson recently admitted the pair get the giggles during love scenes.

Asked if it's strange to have to seduce his friend, he said: "It is. There are times when we've had to cut because we can't get through a take without laughing."

Carving the final book in the Hunger Games series into two movies pays off, giving rhythm to a story that might otherwise have felt rushed. Action and politics are confidently balanced, Sutherland is deliciously vile as ever, Hutcherson is finally given something interesting to do and while Lawrence is rightly the star…
