Tom Cruise is reuniting with director Joseph Kosinski for 'Go Like Hell.'
The 51-year-old star worked with the director in this year's sci-fi hit 'Oblivion' and the pair are currently in talks with Fox studios for a new film which is based on A.J. Baime's book of the same name, which recalls car brand Ford's challenge to Ferrari with a car designed by Carroll Shelby in 1996.
Variety.com report Cruise will be cast as American automotive designer Shelby, who teams with Ford executives to change the image of the brand and aims to compete in European car racing, which until then had been dominated by Ferrari cars.
The project is in the early development stages and the studio is hoping to finalise the script and begin shooting next year.
Earlier this year Crusie confirmed he will be reprising his role as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt in 'Mission: Impossible 5.'
The Hollywood A-Lister has produced all the films in the 'Mission Impossible' franchise and is collaborating with Christopher McQuarrie who will direct the forthcoming movie.
