Olly Murs is likely to replace Gary Barlow on 'The X Factor'.
The 'Dear Darlin' hitmaker - who came second on the singing competition in 2009 - has been tipped to replace head judge Gary when the Take That frontman quits the show in 2014.
Olly has proved popular with viewers as the co-host of ITV2 spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor' over the past two years, and TV bosses are hopeful Olly could "freshen" up the format of the long-running programme.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We'd love to get Olly back as a young judge to freshen things up. He can relate to the other singers like no one else. Crucially, boss Simon Cowell is on good terms with Olly so if he can fit auditions around his career we think he would be perfect.
"Deals won't be done until the series ends but Olly is a front runner."
Last weekend, Gary confirmed he would be leaving 'The X Factor' after the current series in order to focus on his music career. Nicole Scherzinger is also rumoured to be quitting her role as a panellist, while Louis Walsh announced this year's series would be his last earlier this year.
Olly took his judging skills for a test drive when he appeared as Gary's guest in the Judges' Houses round of the competition this year.
And the 29-year-old singer has been vocal about his potential as a full-time judge in the past, recently saying: "I'm always in it ... I'm always around so, yes, maybe one day I will be a judge."
