Rapper P. Diddy taught Spencer Matthews how to play backgammon when the US star was a guest at the hotel his parents own in St. Barths, France

P. Diddy taught Spencer Matthews to play backgammon.

The 'Made in Chelsea' star met the rapper when the US star he was a guest at the hotel his parents own in St. Barths, France, and despite being just a child at the time, he enjoyed spending time with the hip hop mogul.

Spencer said: "When you're eight years old, meeting P. Diddy is no biggie. I didn't even know what being famous was back then.

"I played a couple of games of backgammon with him and he taught me the rules. He was cool."

When he was just a teenager, Spencer enjoyed a romance with actress Tara Reid, but went to great lengths to hide his real age from her.

He added to heat magazine: "I was quite young at the time and pretending to be older than I was. When I had my 17th birthday in St. Barths, a cake was brought out with a big 17 on it, and I sent it back and made them put a 24 on it so she wouldn't know."
