Peter Crouch to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing
Peter Crouch will sign up for 'Strictly Come Dancing' when he quits football, according to his wife Abbey Clancy.
Peter Crouch is set to sign up for 'Strictly Come Dancing' when he retires from football.
The 32-year-old star - who used to perform a 'Robot' dance move as his celebration when he scored a goal - is keen to compete on the BBC One ballroom competition, according to his wife Abbey Clancy, who is currently strutting her stuff on the show.
Speaking on tonight's (04.10.13) episode of 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man', she says: "He loves it. He wants to do it himself but he can't at the moment because he is playing football."
The 27-year-old stunner wowed the judges with her first 'Strictly' performance last weekend, scoring 32 points out of a possible 40, and admits Stoke star Crouch - who has also starred for England, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur throughout his career - burst into tears watching her dance.
She adds: "He said he was crying as he was so moved. He was watching it with our daughter Sophia, and she was like, 'Mummy is like a princess.' "
Abbey, who is partnered by professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec on the show, insists she was expecting last weekend's performance to be a flop because she had messed up her rehearsals earlier in the day.
She explains: "I had three rehearsals on the day and I cocked all of them up. But on the night it was like a dream.
"It was supposed to be Romeo and Juliet. I did struggle with my acting but it is not hard to try and look in love with Aljaz, is it?"
