John Barrowman to host quiz show Pressure Pad
John Barrowman will host a new quiz show 'Pressure Pad', which will air on BBC One from November.
John Barrowman has signed up to host a new quiz show, 'Pressure Pad'.
The 46-year-old actor will front the new BBC One game show, which will see two teams of five players battle it out for a £2,000 prize in front of a huge circular pressure pad, and the 'Torchwood' star can't wait to get started on his exciting new venture.
He said: "I am thrilled to be hosting this new innovative quiz show for BBC One and look forward to seeing whether contestants can take the heat on the 'Pressure Pad', and join in having fun with me."
The game will see contestants face their opposite number in a bid to answer several general knowledge questions correctly, but if they lose their head-to-head then they will be eliminated from the game and unable to help their team in the final.
The winning team will receive the £2,000 cash prize and will be given the chance to play for an extra rolling prize.
John previously played Captain Jack Harkness in both 'Doctor Who' and its spin-off series 'Torchwood' after first appearing on the show in 2005.
He has since been seen on 'Doctor Who' special episode 'The End of Time', which saw David Tennant's Tenth Doctor regenerate into Matt Smith's Eleventh incarnation.
'Pressure Pad' will air daily from November.
