Cher and Ellie Goulding will be the first singers to perform on this year's 'X Factor' live shows, which will feature a new Flash Vote system.
Cher and Ellie Goulding are to perform on the first 'X Factor' live shows.
The 'Believe' hitmaker and the 'Burn' singer will take to the stage to sing their latest singles on Sunday October 13 shortly before the first contestant out of the remaining 12 wannabes is eliminated.
The 'X Factor' will debut a new Flash Vote system on the first live show of the series on Saturday October 12, which will give viewers the chance to save their favourite act from the bottom two.
After each contestant has performed phone lines will open for 10 minutes to enable the public to back their favourite hopeful.
After the lines close votes will be counted and verified and the contestants will find out one of the unlucky wannabes who will face the sing off on the Sunday night.
Voting lines for the remaining contestants will then reopen until Sunday night's show where the second contestant to face the sing off will be revealed.
What's more, the first live show will have a 1980s theme and see hopefuls take to the stage to try to impress judges Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh with top tunes from the decade.
The 'X Factor' contestants will be whittled down from 24 to 12 on this weekend's Judges' Houses stage of the competition.
