Professor Green has cancelled his forthcoming UK tour.

The 29-year-old rapper - real name Stephen Paul Manderson - has been forced to postpone his November dates by seven months because his new album isn't ready, following a car accident in May where he got caught between two Mercedes Benz vehicles while on his way to a show in Gloucestershire, southern England.

He tweeted: "After the accident earlier this year it put everything in jeopardy and the simple truth is the album isn't ready.

"I want to make the best possible album I can for you all and I want you to have heard the new music so as we can all enjoy the shows how they're meant to be enjoyed. I could have rushed an album for the sake of making the tour but as I hope you all know I'm in this for the music and am not willing to let it suffer due to a date in the diary."

After Green's accident with the cars, Paramedics were quick to arrive at the scene, where they gave him Nitrous Oxide and oxygen and he recovered shortly after.

Tickets for the concerts can be used at rescheduled dates next year, or fans can apply for a refund.
