'Emmerdale' actress Lucy Pargeter has signed up for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' after previously expressing a desire to appear on the show.
Lucy Pargeter has signed up for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The 36-year-old actress - who plays 'Emmerdale' barmaid Chas Dingle - will fly out to the Australian jungle after she finishes filming the conclusion of her alter-ego's explosive storyline with killer Cameron Murray (Dominic Power).
An 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "We had Corrie's Antony Cotton on the show last year so we want another serving soap star in the line-up this year.
"Everyone knows who Chas Dingle is so we think Lucy would be perfect. She's said she's up for it, too, so it would be great to see her in the jungle."
Lucy has previously admitted she would be keen to appear on the ITV reality show, but she would never take part in 'Celebrity Big Brother' because she considers it "uncomfortable viewing".
She said: "That's the only reality show that I would do, purely so I could be a bit of a GI Jane. I'd want to be building and foraging and fishing.
"I absolutely can't stand the celebrity version of Big Brother. I don't mind dipping in to the normal one, but they don't need to do the celeb version. It's really cruel and uncomfortable viewing."
