Spears gives first interview since starting custody battle
Britney Spears has spoken publicly for the first time about dealing with her child custody battle and being judged over her treatment of sons Jayden James and Sean Preston.
Speaking to DJ Ryan Seacrest on LA radio station KIIS FM, the 25-year-old pop princess spoke about the recent criticisms of her parenting skills.
She said the world can be cruel, but that she was doing her best.
‘You just try to keep doing what you do and as long as you know what’s up and you know what’s true, that’s all that really matters, you know’.
A report presented to a Los Angeles court this week criticised the singer’s homelife as ‘chaotic’ and claimed she ‘rarely engaged with the children in conversation or play’.
She was granted access to her sons three times a week with a parenting monitor, providing she continues with random weekly drug and alcohol testing.
Her new album Blackout was also released this week.
