Nigel Harman and Samantha Womack clash like married couple
'Mount Pleasant' co-stars Nigel Harman and Samantha Womack admit they clash like a married couple in real life because they spend so much time together on the set of the Sky Living show
Nigel Harman and Samantha Womack argue like a married couple in real life.
The on-screen couple - who are set to stir up the third series of 'Mount Pleasant' as husband and wife Tanya and Bradley - admit that while they "have a laugh" on set, they often "bicker" as a result of spending so much time together.
Nigel told BANG Showbiz: "[Do we bicker?] All the time. She always wanted me to teach me her lines."
Samantha added: "He kept telling me to be quiet quite a lot. I tried to get him to harmonise with me, and I think sometimes he was probably like go away."
Despite their clashes, the duo insist they banter together while filming scenes and initially began mocking each other in order to break the ice when filming their first scenes together as a married couple.
Nigel said: "We had to hit the ground running and pretend we had been together since we were 20. We've taken the p**s out of each other really early on, because they [Tanya and Bradley] are quite quick witted and quite fast, so to get that quickly you sometimes have to force that a little bit.
"So I think that yeah we do have a laugh and we do bicker."
The duo appear in 'Mount Pleasant' - alongside resident cast members Sally Lindsay and Daniel Ryan -as a young glamorous couple who have moved into a cul-de-sac to escape their dodgy past.
'Mount Pleasant' returns tonight (11.09.13) at 9pm on Sky Living.
