Participants sought for charity sleepout

The Rock Trust

The Rock Trust, the Lothians youth homelessness charity, seeks participants to be sponsored as part of its annual ‘Sleepout’. The charity’s longest running event started in 1992 with just 40 participants; since then over 1000 people have bedded down to raise money for the cause. This year’s event takes place on Friday 30 November from 10pm–6am outside Brucefield Church in Whitburn, West Lothian. TV’s Faking It star, magician Kevin McMahon, will provide entertainment.

Those not wishing to give up their own bed, can register to ‘sleep-in’ at their own house for £15. The Trust currently works with over 400 young people each year and provides opportunities for them to develop their personal, social and practical skills, as well as the sense of self worth necessary for independent adult life. The Rock Trust Sleepout

The Rock Trust, a charity providing support services to homeless young people, stages its annual sponsored sleepout, inviting able-bodied people to bed down for the night outside Brucefield Church. Those unavailable on the night who want to get involved can make a £15 donation and register to 'sleep in' in their own beds.
