Aaron Taylor-Johnson is too young for 50 Shades of Grey
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has claimed he isn't "old enough" to star in the upcoming big screen adaptation of '50 Shades of Grey' and insisted he won't be joining the cast despite his wife Sam being named as director
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is too young to star in '50 Shades of Grey'.
The 23-year-old actor - who is married to Sam, the director of the racy film - put an end to rumours tying him to the movie, joking he is too young and not attractive enough for the lead role of Christian Grey.
He told the Metro newspaper: "I am not Christian Grey. I mean, he is supposed to be the most gorgeous man on the f***ing planet! And I am not old enough."
Despite ruling himself out of movie - based on E.L. James' erotic trilogy - Aaron insisted he is delighted his wife is taking charge, and claimed she will bring it a new-found touch of "class".
He added: "I am thrilled she is doing it. She got the job and overnight it went crazy.
"But Sam is incredible. She is totally the right person to take it to a whole other level of class."
Speculation over who will take the lead in the adaptation is ever-increasing, with the likes of Alex Pettyfer, Ian Somerhalder and Henry Cavill all being touted as potential candidates to play the S&M loving millionaire businessman.
