Dame Edna to headline Glasgow comedy festival
Dame Edna Everage is to top the bill at Glasgow’s International Comedy Festival next year in her first visit to Scotland for over a decade.
‘Wait no more my little McPossums,’ she said.
‘I’m coming back for one night only to spread my message of caring and sharing at that spooky yet strangely intimate Clyde Auditorium.’
The festival in March will also include performances from Jimmy Carr and French and Saunders.
Director of the Scottish Comedy Agency, Tommy Sheppard, said Dame Edna is the biggest international star the festival has attracted since it started in 2003.
More than 250 performances will be held during the festival’s March 6-23 run.
