Tina Hobley can't comprehend Hollywood obsession
Tina Hobley finds it bizarre that British actors are so eager to break Hollywood as soon as their UK careers kick off.
Tina Hobley can't understand why British actors are so eager to break Hollywood.
The 41-year-old actress - who plays nurse Chrissie Williams in medical drama 'Holby City' - finds it bizarre that UK stars are so quick to jet off to the US as soon as their career takes off because she believes there are so many "great things" to conquer here first.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "We've got great things here [in the UK], I don't know why everyone wants to go and break Hollywood."
Tina - who announced earlier this month that she is leaving 'Holby City' - was devastated when her co-star James Anderson (Oliver Valentine) bowed out of the show four months ago, but is adamant he'll go on to achieve big roles in the UK.
She explained: "I adore James Anderson. He's one of my good pals, we've been hanging out a lot. I think he's fantastic, brilliant actor and I'm going to see him do big things.
"I think James will stay here."
The blonde beauty - who will be seen on screen until November - insists no one else is lined up to leave the BBC One drama at the moment but admits cast members tend to leave together.
She said: "Sometimes the show goes in phases where people just leave. James is gone and he's the only one I know that has left at the moment."
