'Britain's Got Talent' star Pudsey is to be given a voice in 'Pudsey: The Movie'.

Following a series of secret castings, bosses have selected a top British actor to lend their vocal talents to the dancing dog - who wowed viewers with his spectacular moves on the ITV talent show last year - as he stars alongside his owner and partner in crime Ashleigh Butler in the film.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The name is being kept hush-hush for now. But he's A-list - a national treasure. And his voice is iconic. Fans are going to love him."

Several Hollywood stars are expected to make cameo roles in the production, which is a joint project between Vertigo Films and Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment.

Rupert Preston, Vertigo's Managing Director, said: "It will be a great feel good fun entertainment for all the family."

Pudsey's manager Jonathan Shalit has previously said the movie is a "hugely exciting next step" in the clever canine's career.

He said: "The British people love Pudsey. He has met the Queen and was invited to 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister.

"This represents a hugely exciting next step."
