Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattinson and Holly Hagan have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an 18-year-old model at a bar in Newcastle
Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattinson and Holly Hagan have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
The 25-year-old brunette and the 20-year-old star were both questioned by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning (03.07.13) on suspicion of assaulting 18-year-old model Hannah Kelso with a shoe after allegedly getting involved in a confrontation.
Both reality stars have since been bailed pending further enquiries and have been suspended from the show.
The incident took place in Florita's Bar, part of the House of Smith club in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, north east England, while the MTV reality show was being filmed.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Gaz and James from the show were at one table and a group of girls at the table next to them.
"Vicky got involved in an altercation with the girls at the table and suddenly all hell broke loose.
"What looked like a stiletto shoe went flying through the air and then all the bouncers came in. Vicky moved away from the table to another part of the club, but then came back again and a row started again.
"In the end, everyone from 'Geordie Shore' had to leave. The show has its own security for filming and they also got involved, everyone was trying to calm Vicky down.
"Hannah was taken to hospital and I understand she needed eight stitches to an eye wound. She is very beautiful, she works as a model and is well known as you see her out in town with her twin sister.
"It was impossible to tell what the argument was about."
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "A woman was assaulted at 1.13 am on Wednesday in Florita's Bar on Collingwood Street, Newcastle and an 18-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary for treatment. She has since been released.
"Two women aged 25, and 20 were arrested on suspicion of assault, and were helping police with inquiries. They have been bailed pending further inquiries."
Following the alleged incident, MTV revealed filming for the show's seventh series has been "temporarily suspended".
They said in a statement: "Following an incident during filming that has led to a police enquiry into an alleged offence by a member of the cast, MTV and Lime Pictures have temporarily suspended filming of 'Geordie Shore' series seven pending further enquiries.
"The decision has already been taken to remove certain cast members from the production process for the time being."
However, Holly "vehemently denies being involved in any violent incident whatsoever".
Her spokesman said: "We can confirm Holly was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning on suspicion of assault following an alleged incident during the filming of 'Geordie Shore'.
"Holly willingly gave a full statement to police officers in which she denied any involvement in the alleged incident.
"She has not been charged. We fully expect Holly to be given a No Further Action notification by the police.
"We are very disappointed that Holly was arrested by the police but believe in due course she will be given a No Further Action."
