Apprentice's Myles: I didn't release my inner Del Boy enough
Axed 'Apprentice' contestant Myles Mordaunt regrets not releasing his "inner Del Boy" enough in the last task
Axed 'Apprentice' contestant Myles Mordaunt regrets not releasing his "inner Del Boy" enough in the last task.
The 39-year-old silver fox was given his marching orders by Lord Alan Sugar on last night's show (03.07.13) after his team's business plummeted following his poor decision to sell high-priced products.
But Myles wishes he had taken inspiration from Only Fools and Horses' happy-go-lucky character Del Boy - known for having the gift of the gab and flogging knocked off gear at the market - to improve his selling in the task.
Speaking on 'The Apprentice' spin-off show 'You're Fired', he said: "I don't think I released my inner Del Boy on this one."
The marketing company co-founder - who lives in Monaco - claims he felt pressure from his team mates Neil Clough and Jordan Poulton because of the standard of their work, but insists he understands why he got the boot from the show.
He explained: "I'm definitely disappointed to be going home, but you know. I think the standard's high. I think Lord Sugar saw more in the other two than he did in me. You know, I'm philosophical, take it on the chin and crack on."
