Over a thousand hopefuls have applied for the new reality TV show 'Surrey Hills'.
Show bosses have received more than 1,200 applications in the last two days from wannabe celebrities attempting to make it big in the forthcoming docu-soap set in the luxurious area of Elmbridge in Surrey.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "We have been blown away by the numbers enquiring about the show. The buzz has reached fever pitch.
"We have had a porn star, a footballer, several self-made millionaires and musicians banging on the door."
A team of producers are currently on the lookout for "young elite" cast members who have "an exciting and fast paced lifestyle" to join the project, which is set to rival popular shows, 'The Only Way is Essex' and 'Made in Chelsea'.
A producer told the Get Surrey newspaper: "We are truly excited about the 'Surrey Hills' project. Surrey is an absolutely amazing place, with many celebrities and entrepreneurs choosing to call it home.
"Surrey has been fairly under the radar until now, with only the wealthy and successful able to frequent it.
"We look forward to showing the rest of the world exactly how breathtaking it is.
"The series is sure to capture the public's hearts with its insightful plot lines, its indulgent tendencies and its outrageous Surrey ways."
