Dominic Power: Cameron will be biggest soap villain
'Emmerdale' star Dominic Power has claimed Cameron Murray will become the "biggest villain" in the soap world after his upcoming affair with Debbie Dingle
Dominic Power says Cameron Murray will become the soap world's "biggest villain".
The actor has revealed his 'Emmerdale' character will cheat on girlfriend Chas Dingle - played by Lucy Pargeter - with her niece and his former partner Debbie, portrayed by Charley Webb, and then things are going to get "dark" in the Dales.
He told Soaplife magazine: "At the [British] Soap Awards I said that this summer Cameron would prove himself to be the biggest villain in soap and he will ... Things are going to get a lot darker."
The actor - who has been in the soap since 2011 - says double murderer Cameron sees Debbie as "his salvation" and becomes fixated with her.
Dominic told Soaplife magazine: "Cameron has deep affection for Chas, but he loves Debbie.
"He has never stopped loving her, but recently, they have had moments alone and that intimacy has ignited his feelings.
He feels bad about cheating on Chas, but feels that Debbie might be his salvation."
Dominic added that Cameron is looking to move on from killing Alex Moss and Carl King while sorting out the "mess" of the affair.
He said: "Cameron's sick of the mess and now wants to get his life straightened up ... with Debbie ... He thinks that [Alex's body is] buried and he can move on."
