Helen Flanagan and ex-boyfriend Scott Sinclair were allegedly both stopped for speeding after a blazing row.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress reportedly split from the soccer star on the weekend after he was accused of sending saucy text messages to TV presenter Donatella Panayiotou, and the incident is said to have sparked an argument between the pair which led to them both speeding off.
Helen jumped into her £100,000 Audi RS8 as she went to cool off, while Scott drove away in his red Ferrari - but police purportedly stopped both of them for breaking the speed limit.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Scott got back from holiday on Friday and the cheating rumours were already flying around. She tore into him and they had a furious row.
"Things calmed down a bit, but by Saturday morning they were at it again.
"Things got really heated - and they both stormed out and drove off.
"The idea was to cool off but after a few minutes they had both been pulled over by police for speeding. Their cars can do about 180mph, so it's not hard to go a bit too fast, especially if you're angry."
Scott denies sending any text messages to Donatella, claiming his one of his friends was responsible.
But Helen was spotted with her parents, Julia and Paul, on Sunday (23.06.13) clearing out her belongings from the £6,500-a-month property she rents with the Man City ace, and her mother was pictured carrying a huge bag.
She is said to have told him: "It's over for good this time."
This comes just a week after Helen came face-to-face with three armed burglars, who were wielding a saw and a screwdriver, in the £2.2 million Cheshire mansion. They locked her and a female companion in the utility room before ransacking the property.
