Glasgow bingo hall named luckiest in UK after second millionaire

A Glasgow bingo hall has been named the luckiest in Britain after two big prize payouts were won there in just three weeks.

A 69-year-old woman scooped £1million at the Glasgow Forge bingo hall, just 21 days after Britain’s first bingo club millionaire - 45-year-old Margaret Shearer - hit the jackpot in the same venue.

Operations manager at the Mecca venue, Joe Marshall, said: ‘We expected to make a millionaire once every 45 days – but we have done it twice in 21.

‘We always knew it was the luckiest bingo hall and this has just proved it.’

Three people have won the £1 million prize since the UK-wide competition started in September.
