Kurt and Natalie go in shock double Apprentice firing
Kurt Wilson and Natalie Panayi both insist they weren't surprised to be fired in a double eviction on 'The Apprentice' last night (12.06.13)
Kurt Wilson and Natalie Panayi both were both fired on 'The Apprentice' last night (12.06.13) in a shock double eviction.
The 26-year-old entrepreneur was the first contestant to be shown the door by Lord Alan Sugar after his team, Endeavour, slumped to a devastating defeat in their latest task when they only managed to sell £1,479 worth of camping and caravanning products compared to rival team Evolve's total sales of £33,615.
Despite Kurt being fired first, 30-year-old recruitment manager Natalie insists she still expected to be given her marching orders because all the contestants have been waiting for a double eviction to occur at some point throughout the process.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Even after Kurt went I didn't think I was safe.
"Throughout the whole of that task I was thinking if we lose I'm gone. The whole way through everyone was waiting for a double firing. So I wasn't complacent at all. I was just thinking, 'He's going to do me now.'
"We were all expecting a double firing at some point but we thought it was going to come earlier. Unfortunately it came on my week."
Kurt added: "It was the expected decision really. We all know there is a double firing in 'The Apprentice' at some point, so it didn't really shock me that it was me and Natalie this week.
"I was sort of expecting to get fired. I knew that I'd taken a gamble on the task so I knew if we got to the boardroom that there would be a really good chance I could get fired."
While Natalie enjoyed her time on the show, the brunette beauty admits she wasn't always her normal self throughout the process.
She added: "I lost a bit of confidence and I thought it was a bit intimidating which was quite said, but I'm out of the process now and I'm back to my normal self."
'The Apprentice' continues on Wednesday (19.06.13) at 9pm on BBC One.
