Big Brother to feature luxury tree house
The new series of 'Big Brother', which begins on Thursday (13.06.13), is set to have a luxury tree house in the garden for potential lovebirds to spend time in
'Big Brother' bosses have built a luxury tree house for potential lovebirds to get jiggy in on this year's series.
The Channel 5 show - which starts on Thursday (13.06.13) - have constructed a brand-new wooden shelter outside the house for contestants to enjoy, and it is hoped the isolated area will become a hot spot for love.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It is the ideal place for couples to get jiggy in. It will be a case of it the tree house is rockin', don't come a-knockin'."
With a theme of Secrets and Lies, the pad features a wall of colourful doors at the bottom of the entry staircase. But housemates will be made to wait until later in the series to see what is behind the secret doors.
A noticeable difference in the house this series is a lack of swimming pool or hot tub, but producers have hinted contestants may find one if they search hard enough.
This year's 'Big Brother' abode will be much more eco-friendly and feature dining chairs created using old bike saddles, and there is a classic bicycle in the colourful bedroom for housemates to ride when they need hot water for a shower.
Housemates will also have to wash their clothes by hand through a mangle - a mechanical laundry aid consisting of two rollers in a sturdy frame - and grow their own vegetables for healthy meals.
New host Emma Willis - who will also continue to front spin-off show 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' alongside newcomers Rylan Clark and AJ Odudu - thinks the revamped venue is the "best" yet.
She said: "I've been inside the house and it's bloody awesome. The best house yet."
Emma can be seen in the new role - which was previously held by Davina McCall and Brian Dowling - when the show kicks off on Thursday (13.06.13) at 9pm on Channel 5.
