Sarah Cassidy, Alys Williams, Mitchel Emms and Leanne Jarvis have been voted off 'The Voice'
Sarah Cassidy, Alys Williams, Mitchel Emms and Leanne Jarvis have been eliminated from 'The Voice'.
The quartet of singers failed to progress during the first live show of the latest series of the BBC programme on Friday (07.06.13), bringing the total number of contestants down to eight.
Earlier in the night the four judges, Jessie J, will.i.am, Danny O'Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones each put one act through to the semi-final with their Fast Pass.
Jessie chose to save Ash Morgan, leaving Sarah to fight it out for the public vote with Matt Henry, Tom saved Joseph, pitting Alys against Mike Ward, Danny used his vote to keep Andrea Begley with Mitchel losing to Karl Michael while will.i.am put Leah McFall through to the final eight with his contestant Cleo Higgins later beating Leanne for the remaining place.
Meanwhile, Michael Buble has been confirmed to appear as a performer on 'The Voice'.
The Canadian crooner is going to serenade the audience with two of his hit songs during the BBC One show's grand finale on June 22, with one of the performances being made exclusively available via 'The Voice' UK website.
The star previously joined 'The Voice' USA coach Blake Shelton as a battle advisor during season three of the show, as well as performing on the American programme, but has only ever graced the British version via video message in support of auditionee Sam Hollyman, who he had once sung alongside.
