Coronation Street's killer Karl to strike again
Coronation Street's Karl Munro looks set to strike again as he hovers a heavy gold trophy over Dev Alahan's head after he gets closer to revealing the truth
Coronation Street's killer Karl Munro considers murdering Dev Alahan.
The twisted firestarter - played by John Michie - looks set to strike again next week after he turns to drastic measures in an attempt to stop Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) revealing the horrifying truth he started the fire which badly burned his wife Sunita (Shobna Gulati).
Dev becomes more and more desperate to prove Sunita didn't start the fire and suggests police check security camera footage of her hospital room shortly before Karl turned off her life support.
Karl panics and when he's with Dev picks up a chunky golf trophy and hovers it above the unsuspecting shopkeeper's head.
John explains: "Karl is beginning to think the only option he has is to kill, Dev. He has to stop Dev from going to the police, but is running out of ways to do it.
"Karl's emotions are all over the place at the moment when he picks up the trophy. He's so caught up in the madness of the world he's living in that he can't seem to think straight. Because of the way Dev is talking and behaving, Karl has a moment where he does actually want to go through with doing him in."
This isn't the first time Karl has turned to violence to silence someone as he was seen threatening Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) to the point where she was "visibly shaken".
Jane said: "He grabs her by the wrist and she tells him she isn't scared of him, but when he walks off she's visibly shaken. He's quite a big bloke and quite strong so physically he could scare her."
