TOWIE cast splash the cash before Marbella
'The Only Way is Essex' crew each spent £2,000 preparing for their glamorous annual jaunt to Spanish resort Marbella.
'The Only Way is Essex' cast each spend £2,000 preparing for their annual Marbella jaunt.
The ITV2 crew each splash out the extortionate sum on getting bikini-ready for their holiday in the Spanish seaside resort, thanks to a long list of lavish purchases and compulsory beauty procedures which begin months before the group trip.
Gemma Collins, 32, told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "I spent £500 on kaftans. And I spent £200 on crystals to put on swimwear ... We treat ourselves to new make-up and I get new everything."
Bobby Norris, 26, added: "Even our flip-flops are covered in diamonds. For everything you're probably looking at about £1,500 per head."
Gemma said: "Or £2,000! It's an expensive game, this Marbella."
The Essex gang are all extremely body-conscious and many stars, including Lucy Mecklenburgh, hire a personal trainer to whip them into shape before they can show off their bedazzled new swimwear at the booze-filled pool parties.
Bobby and Tom Pearce, 22, both had Lipoglaze, a non-surgical liposuction method which freezes fat and is priced from £600 to £1,000.
The flamboyant star explained: "You are so exposed when you are filming on the beach and around the pool," and Tom added: "Lipoglaze is great for sorting out stubborn little areas around your tummy."
The cast are famed for coining the phrase, "No carbs before Marbs", but Sam Faiers took things one step further by getting a colonic irrigation the night before her flight.
Sam said: "For two weeks, I haven't eaten carbs and I've been exchanging my wine for gin and slimline tonic."
The stars all expect to fork out extra cash at the airport because their staggering number of outfit changes mean their luggage is always overweight.
