The Luminites topped the public vote in Thursday's (30.05.13) 'Britain's Got Talent' semi-final.

The London four-piece - comprised of JJ, Steph, R-tizt and Corey - received a standing ovation from the four judges, Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, after they performed a cover of Bee Gees 'To Love Somebody'.

Along with impressing the judges and the public, they also won praise from pop star Demi Lovato, who performed on the results show.

She enthused: "The Luminites were my favourite. I'm backing them to go all the way."

After the result was announced, they said: "It hasn't sunk in. We just want to thank everyone who voted for us."

Pre-Skool also made it through to the final after performing to a medley of hits, including hosts Ant and Dec's track 'Let's Get Ready To Rumble'.

Simon joked: 'These are all 45 year old midgets. I love your personalities and your sense of fun. It was the best act of the night so far," while David added: "Fantastic. Normally in a dance group, you have a star dancer, but in this group you're all stars."

On Tuesday (28.05.13), young comic Jack Carroll won the public vote and singer songwriter Gabz, 15 - who was dubbed a "future pop star" - secured the judges vote unanimously in the second live semi-final.

Meanwhile, Arisxandra Libantino, 11, won the judge's vote on Monday night (27.05.13) with her rendition of Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing'.

Singing duo Richard and Adam Johnson also made it through to the final - which takes place on June 8 and will see the winner take home £250,000 - with their dramatic performance of 'Somewhere' from musical 'West Side Story'.
