Apprentice's Zee: I was an easy target
Axed 'Apprentice' contestant Zeeshaan Shah believes he was an "easy target" to be fired on the show and believes there are much "weaker candidates" than him remaining in the process
Axed 'Apprentice' contestant Zeeshaan Shah believes he was an "easy target" to be fired on the show.
The investment company chief executive hit out at his fellow contestants after being shown the door by Lord Alan Sugar on last night's (28.05.13) episode after his team, Endeavour, lost the latest task - which involved hunting down products in Dubai and putting their bargaining skills to the test - by just £90.
Zee - who has previously lived in Dubai - exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "When a task goes wrong then everyone looks for someone to blame and an easy target is the Project Manager so everyone just pinned it on me.
"I don't think it was a personal vengeance or anything of that sort, I just think I was an easy target because I stood up and said, 'I know Dubai very well.' It was a difficult task so I was the one to put the blame on.
"If you take away the fact that I was the PM and solely look at my performance on the task then I negotiated two deals which I got good prices on."
The 29-year-old businessman - who had previously said he takes inspiration from Napoleon and was in the process to "conquer" - believes Lord Sugar made the wrong choice firing him and thinks there are "weaker candidates" in the process.
He added: "In the overall picture looking at my capabilities and my strengths I believe I should have been there for a bit longer.
"I do believe there are much weaker candidates in the process right now and I should have been there longer."
'The Apprentice' continues next Wednesday (05.06.13) at 9pm on BBC One.
