Amelia Lily to keep X Factor audition shoes forever

Amelia Lily goes "crazy" every time her mum tries to throw away her 'X Factor' audition shoes.
The 'Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)' hitmaker has vowed to keep the footwear she donned in the early stages of the 2011 series after going on to finish third on the show and launch a pop career, despite the shoes being in really poor condition now.
She said: "I will never throw away my 'X Factor' audition shoes, they're so worn out and full of holes but every time mum tries to throw them out I go crazy. I keep them in a satin box in my bedroom.
"I'm shoe obsessed, I have over 250 pairs, it's absolutely ridiculous. Being diabetic means I always have to have comfortable shoes as I have to be careful with my feet."
The 18-year-old star has since adopted a new pair of lucky footwear which she wore while supporting Girls Aloud on their 'Ten: The Hits' arena tour earlier this year, and they proved their worth when she suffered difficulties on stage on the one occasion she wasn't wearing them.
She added: "I have a lucky pair of shoes I wear to perform, I wore them on the Girls Aloud tour... the one night I didn't wear them I lost the hearing in my ears ... I came off stage and knew it was the shoes ... so now I'm kind of paranoid about always wearing them!"
