The Vinyl Frontier Outdoor Stage is also back with Dave Dunne, Kid Blast, James Ryan and more
The latest additions to 2013’s Wickerman Festival line-up will include disco legends Chic fronted by prolific producer Nile Rodgers (fresh from his collaboration with Daft Punk), Glasgow-based folk-pop five-piece Admiral Fallow, electro-dub pioneers Dreadzone and London electro-pop trio Waylayers.
The Skiddle Tent will be headlined by DJ Greg Wilson, making his debut at Wickerman. He can expect support from Wickerman regulars such as Sonny Wharton, Ginny K, Kid Blast, Western Groove, Matt Hinde, Tim Forrester and James Ryan.
Extended opening hours are in order for the return of the Vinyl Frontier Outdoor Stage (2pm-2am), so festivalgoers can look forward to dancing, jumping and generally bouncing along to sets from Funkademia DJs Dave Dunne, Kidblast and Good For The Soul, as well as Insomania DJs Mark Swider, Luke Stranger, Filter Script and Andrew Dent.
Heading up the electronica selection are Dave Clarke a.k.a ‘The Baron of Techno’, the energetic Kissy Sell Out and the musically eclectic Rebecca Vasmant.
The Solus Tent has a lineup of regular List favourites such as crunch-pop duo Honeyblood, bass-heavy Teklo, electro-indie posse Machines In Heaven, electronic upstarts Roman Nose and the glorious Woodenbox (formerly of A Fistful of Fivers fame), several of whom appear here in between a slew of other festival appearances.
All these exciting acts join previously announced big name acts Primal Scream, The Enemy and Dexys.
Wickerman, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries & Galloway, Fri 26 & Sat 27 Jul.
