John Barrowman has signed up to host 'Sing Your Face Off'.

The British-American star will front the ABC show in the US, where each week five celebrity contestants will take on the identity of an iconic music performer.

The performers will be judged by 'Saturday Night Live' cast member Darrell Hammond and singer and songwriter Debbie Gibson.

Contestants for the show, who have so far been confirmed, include daytime soap star Lisa Rinna, ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, and comedian Jon Lovitz.

John has previous hosting experience, after he fronted musical star-search shows 'How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?' and 'Any Dream Will Do' in the UK.

The show, Produced by Endemol, is based on a Spanish programme 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'.

The show is not the only opportunity US fans will have to see John on TV as he recently landed a role in stateside series 'Gilded Lilys', which has been branded as the country's answer to the UKs 'Downton Abbey'.

A source said: "This is a big role for John. If it is successful, it would mean spending most of the year filming in the States."
