Louis Walsh confirms X Factor return
Louis Walsh has confirmed he and Gary Barlow are returning to 'The X Factor' later this year and insists they are the "bookends" of the show, keeping it together
Louis Walsh has confirmed he and Gary Barlow are returning to 'The X Factor'.
The Irish music mogul insists he and the Take That singer will be back on the judging panel as the "bookends" of the talent show, and revealed he played a part in getting Sharon Osbourne - who was a judge on the programme from 2004 to 2007 - to sign up for this year's series.
Speaking to website RTE Ten, he said: "I'm back, I am definitely back. Me and Gary, we're the bookends and I'm sure Sharon Osbourne's back and I helped to get her back, because she's great fun."
However, Louis - who has been a judge on the show since it started in 2004 - is still in the dark about who will be taking the fourth spot and although he previously confirmed former Spice Girl Mel B is in the running, he admits it's more than likely Nicole Scherzinger will return for the role.
He added: "I hope it's going to be Tulisa or Nicole. It might be Mel B, I don't know! But I think it probably will be Nicole."
The 60 year old continued to praise the show's boss Simon Cowell, describing him as the "best" person he has ever met.
He gushed: "Simon is the best person I know, Simon gave me a whole career, he gave me my whole life. He put my on TV ... He is the best person I've ever met."
