Professor Green says supporting The Stone Roses has been the most "challenging" moment of his career so far.
The 'Read All About It' rapper was chosen by the indie band as one of the support acts for their reformation shows in Manchester, North West England, last year and admitted he was up against a tough crowd.
He told Altsounds.com: "It was probably the most challenging gig. I was lucky enough to be personally invited onto that support slot, but when I came out there was as many jeers and there were cheers. By the end I had the crowd up in arms, which was one of the biggest live achievements."
Green - real name Stephen Manderson - also said he finds it important to sometimes keeps himself in check by stepping back, taking stock and realising what a great position he is in as a popular artist.
He added: "It's really easy to become self-consumed by what you do that you forget to take a step back.
"When you're in the middle of promo and gigging and you're not sleeping, you can get worn down by it and it's really important to take a step back and remind yourself how fortunate you are to be doing what you're doing, and to just appreciate it."
